At Farringtons School, we know good food is essential for fostering bright minds and happy pupils. Our dedicated in-house Catering Team creates an imaginative, weekly changing menu using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Furthermore, we are committed to ensuring that all pupils enjoy the shared lunchtime experience with their classmates. With this in mind, we do not permit packed lunches, except in exceptional circumstances.

Fresh And Delicious

We prepare all dishes freshly on-site, ensuring quality and balanced nutrition. Pupils choose from hot and cold options, hearty soups, vegetarian dishes, crisp salads, tempting desserts and fresh fruit. Additionally, seasonal menus keep things exciting, offering familiar favourites like our vegetable curry and roast dinner with all the trimmings alongside new discoveries.

Catering To Dietary Needs

Beyond taste, we take dietary needs seriously, accommodating allergies, intolerances, and religious beliefs. However, lunch is not our only focus, Prep School pupils enjoy a nutritious snack at break time, while our boarding houses savour a delicious breakfast and hot dinner in the Dining Hall.

SUSTAINABILITY

We are proud to partner with Olio, an incredible organisation dedicated to fighting food waste. Olio collects unused food and redistributes it to individuals and families who need it most. Thanks to this collaboration, we were able to provide meals to 21 households in April alone, making a tangible difference in our community.

Pupil Voice

Lastly, we empower young voices through our dedicated Food Committee. Pupils lead this committee, which meets regularly to discuss new menu ideas, thereby ensuring we always consider their peers’ preferences and suggestions in our meal planning.
