Senior Academic Results

GCSEs

We were overjoyed to welcome Year 11 pupils back to Farringtons to collect their GCSE results, and there was ample cause for celebration. In stark contrast to the national trends, our pupils demonstrated significant improvement across all metrics compared to the previous year. The pass rate, in particular, brought great satisfaction, with an impressive 92% of grades falling within the 9-4 range. This marks a notable 10% increase from 2019, the benchmark year for our comparisons, and stands well above the national average of 68.2%. These exceptional results, achieved in a non-selective setting, are a testament to the ongoing academic momentum and ambition fostered at Farringtons. They also reflect the unwavering dedication of our pupils and the exceptional commitment of our teachers.

We take immense pride in the accomplishments of our pupils and extend our heartfelt congratulations to each and every one of them. As they chart their paths forward, whether continuing with us in the Sixth Form or pursuing opportunities elsewhere, we are confident in their ability to excel. Special commendations are due to Sofia, who achieved remarkable grade 9s across all subjects, as well as to five other outstanding pupils – Stefan, Aris, Leo, Luca, and Tim – each of whom attained nine or more grades within the 9-7 range. Their achievements serve as shining examples of excellence and dedication within our community. We wish all our pupils continued success and fulfilment in their future endeavours.
