Welcome to the Farringtons School term dates webpage! Here you will find all the important information about the upcoming terms, including start and end dates, half-term breaks, and inset days.

2026 – 2027

Autumn Term 2026

• New staff induction: Tuesday 1^st September
• Staff insets: Wednesday 2^nd and Thursday 3^rd September
• Staff inset, Year 7 & 12 return: Friday 4^th September
• Boarders return: Sunday 6^th September, 4-8pm*
• Autumn Term begins for Prep School & Years 8-13: Monday 7^th September
• Autumn Half Term: Saturday 17^th October – Sunday 1^st November
• Boarders return: Sunday 1^st November, 4-8pm
• Autumn Term ends – half day: Thursday 17^th December

Spring Term 2027

• Staff inset: Monday 4^th January
• Boarders return: Monday 4^th January, 4-8pm
• Spring Term begins: Tuesday 5^th January
• Spring Half Term: Saturday 13^th February – Sunday 21^st February
• Boarders return: Sunday 21^st February, 4-8pm
• Spring Term ends – half day: Thursday 25^th March

Summer Term 2027

• Boarders return: Sunday 18^th April, 4-8pm
• Summer Term begins: Monday 19^th April
• May Day Bank Holiday: Monday 3^rd May
• Summer Half Term: Saturday 29^th May – Sunday 6^th June
• Boarders return: Sunday 6^th June, 4-8pm
• Summer Term ends – half day: Thursday 8^th July
• Staff inset: Friday 9^th July

*Boarders are asked to arrive on 6th September 2026, after 4pm for their induction programme. For all other terms boarders are asked to arrive the day before term starts, after 4pm.
