LITTLE CITY VISIT TO EARLY YEARSWe were so excited to welcome Little City for a visit this term and the children absolutely loved diving into the world of make-believe! From sorting letters in the post office, to treating patients at the vets, serving coffees at the café and keeping the peace at the police station – they were fully immersed in role play. The building site and laundry were also huge hits!
A huge thank you to Little City for such a wonderful, engaging and educational experience!
PEOPLE WHO HELP US VISIT eyfsOur Early Years pupils have absolutely loved their topic this term: people who help us! We were so grateful for exciting visits from a Paramedic, a Policeman and a Fireman who even brought their fire truck! The children also visited our updated Medical Centre and met our School Nurses, as well as trying out our school mini buses!
The children were brilliant, asking lots of insightful questions and, of course, having a blast trying on all the different uniform. Huge thanks to our local heroes for making learning so interactive and memorable!

Our youngest artists had a fantastic time this term creating some colourful firework paintings! Great work, everyone!

MONEY MATTERSWe are so proud of our EYFS pupils who have had a fantastic term learning all about money.
Their journey started by creating beautiful, handmade Christmas decorations. They then put their entrepreneurial skills to the test by selling these creations at the Farringtons Christmas Fayre!
Best of all, they took the money earned and used it wisely to buy exciting new resources for their own EYFS classrooms. What a wonderful, practical lesson in economics! Well done, everyone!

Designing Strong and Waterproof Houses in Year 1What a brilliant time Year One had exploring everyday materials! They fully embraced the role of architects for the Three Little Pigs this week! They worked hard to design and build houses, making sure to choose materials that were both strong and waterproof. Then they put their creations to the ultimate test:
– Strength test: The ‘wolf’ (a trusty hairdryer!) tried to huff and puff and blow their houses down
– Waterproof test: They checked if their materials could withstand water
The children then did a fantastic job of reflecting on their designs and discussing what improvements they could make next time.
