Year 11 Photography Project
Our Year 11 Floreat pupils plunged themselves into a fascinating project that blends creativity, history, and technical skill: the Farringtons Then and Now Photography Project.
This ambitious endeavour challenged pupils to explore the changing face of Farringtons School. Working with archive photographs, they used Adobe Photoshop to seamlessly blend historical images of the school with their own modern photographs.
Key Highlights
- Creative focus: Pupils created striking composite images
- Technical skill: They mastered careful alignment and blending techniques in Photoshop
- Historical reflection: The resulting visuals tell layered stories that reflect on the passage of time, memory and continuity at Farringtons
The composites beautifully capture how the school has both changed and stayed the same over the years. We are incredibly proud of the thought and effort they put into creating these powerful visual narratives!
