Big Schools' Birdwatch

From 22 January to 2 February, the Junior School took part in the world's biggest bird survey, the RSPB Big Schools' Birdwatch that encouraged children to watch birds in the school grounds.
During the birdwatch fortnight, children walked around the school grounds, put up bird posters, borrowed binoculars, listened to a talk about birds by Mr Hugh Flack, made bird feeders out of old plastic bottles and stared out of their classroom windows.
This was a fun way to learn and many children are now inspired 'birders'.
