SIXTH FORM TRIP TO NEW YORK
When I heard about the trip to New York City, I signed up straight away. Ever since watching Friends, visiting the Big Apple had been a dream of mine, and sharing the experience with friends made it even better.
First Impressions of the City That Never Sleeps
From the moment we arrived in Times Square, I felt at home. The bright billboards, constant energy and familiar yet different atmosphere made an instant impression. Over the next few days, we explored iconic sights including the Brooklyn Bridge, DUMBO, the 9/11 Memorial, the Statue of Liberty, the American Museum of Natural History, Central Park, and the Rockefeller Center.
Broadway Lights and City Heights
One highlight was playing chess under the Washington Square Arch before visiting Stonewall National Monument and heading up the Empire State Building for incredible views. That evening, we watched The Great Gatsby on Broadway.
A Grand Finale to an Unforgettable Journey
We finished the trip with a visit to Grand Central Terminal and some final shopping. It was an unforgettable experience, and I would highly recommend visiting New York at least once in your life.
