National Academy for Gifted and Talented Youth
I was absolutely delighted when, a short while ago, Parmida Imani in Year 11 was accepted as a member of NAGTY (National Academy for Gifted and Talented Youth) for her outstanding achievements in Mathematics.
I have known Parmida since she was in Year 8. Even then, she demonstrated exceptional enthusiasm and ability for the subject. She attended Masterclasses in Year 9, gained certificates in the United Kingdom Maths Challenges and represented the School in the Team Challenge Competition.
On a more formal basis, Parmida achieved Level 8 at the end of Year 9 in the Statutory Assessment Tests. She took the GCSE Mathematics examination early and not only gained an A* grade but also managed to get 100% in the two written papers. An outstanding achievement indeed, worthy of National recognition.
We are very proud of her and hope that she will continue to enjoy challenge and success in Mathematics.

Farringtons is also delighted to announce that Megan Roberts, who is also a member of NAGTY, has gained a prestigious place on a Science Summer School. More details to follow in a forthcoming Newsletter.
