Netball Triumph and Disney Magic

Disneyland Paris Netball Tournament

An Unforgettable Trip to Disneyland Paris!

Our recent Netball trip to Disneyland Paris was an incredible experience from start to finish!

Outstanding Sporting Progress

The girls made outstanding progress with their Netball throughout the tour. Over two full days of intensive training sessions and competitive tournaments, they developed a genuine passion for the sport and a much deeper understanding of the game. Their teamwork and communication improved enormously and their enthusiasm on and off the court was inspiring to see.

Tournament Success and Team Spirit

The teams were named Merida, Moana and Mulan — inspired by strong, independent women — a fitting reflection of the girls’ determination and team spirit throughout the trip. We are proud to share that Merida placed 1st in the Bowl, Moana placed 4th in the Shield, and Mulan placed 5th in the Shield — fantastic results all round!

Meeting an Elite Athlete

A special highlight of the trip was the opportunity to meet Gabby Marshall, England Roses and Birmingham Panthers player. Gabby shared valuable insights into the dedication, mindset and hard work required to compete at elite level – a truly motivational experience for all our pupils.

Disney Magic

Of course, no trip to Disneyland Paris would be complete without a little magic! The girls enjoyed a day in the park filled with laughter, excitement and unforgettable moments. Highlights included Savannah and Miss Teversham getting a hug from Goofy during the parade, 24 pupils filling the entire Avengers Assemble: Flight Force ride and plenty of shopping before finishing the evening with the most spectacular fireworks display lighting up Sleeping Beauty’s Castle.

Throughout the day, the pupils demonstrated independence and responsibility, following instructions and meeting at the designated times — a credit to themselves and the school.

Exploring Beyond the Court

Between matches and park adventures, the group also enjoyed some fantastic meals, sampling delicious French cuisine and a few Disney treats along the way. They also spent time exploring the Val d’Europe shopping mall and the Sea Life Aquarium, which offered a great opportunity to relax, shop and experience more of what the area has to offer. Evenings were filled with fun and laughter as the girls made the most of the hotel’s swimming pool, water flumes and pirate ship play area. One night, we played a massive game of “Room” involving all 31 girls — a highlight that brought everyone together in great spirits.

It was a truly memorable trip that combined sport, teamwork and a touch of Disney magic — an experience the pupils (and staff!) will not soon forget.
