The Lion King Junior – Year 6 Production
Ferens Hall at Farringtons School was alive with the vibrant spirit of the African savanna onĀ the 19th and 20th June. The Prep School Year 6 pupils, delivered a truly memorable production of The Lion King Junior.
A Timely Tale for Transitioning Pupils
This beloved tale proved a fitting story for the Year 6 cohort.Ā It explored courage, identity and community. Ā These themes resonated deeply as pupils prepare for their next educational journey. The young performers, who poured their hearts and souls into bringing the Pridelands to life.
Furthermore, under the guidance of dedicated staff, every child involved contributed something special to this ambitious production. From the learning of lines and theĀ mastering of songs to the energetic choreography and exploration of characters, the hard work and commitment of each pupil were evident in every scene. The result was a seamless and captivating performance that transported the audience to the heart of Simba’s journey.
Moreover, a particularly heart-warming addition this year was the inclusion of pupils from Years 3-5, who formed the choir of Prideland singers. Their harmonies added a wonderful depth and richness to the musical numbers, creating a truly immersive experience.

Ultimately, the pride felt by the entire cast and crew was palpable and shone brightly on stage.
