Pupils Achieve Outstanding Results at Farringtons
“There was huge energy and excitement in school today as our Year 11 pupils came in to collect their GCSE results. As a cohort they have worked incredibly hard and we were delighted to see them celebrating the best results in the school’s history by all measures. Over 50% of grades were 9-7 (A*/A), compared to 39.4% last year and an average for the past four years of 31%. Equally pleasing was the fact that 73% of grades were 9-6 (60% in 2025) and 96.5% were 9-4 (92.7% last year). 24 pupils achieved 7 or more GCSEs at grades 7-9, a remarkable accomplishment for a broad ability school. This continued improvement year on year very much reflects the school’s academic ambition and our desire to see every pupil fulfil their true potential. It is also testament to the hugely dedicated teachers whose hard work, extra sessions and unwavering, personalised support have really paid off. The pupils can now look ahead to their sixth form studies with real confidence. Many congratulations Year 11 – we are hugely proud of you all!
