Once again there was a real buzz in school this morning as our Year 13 pupils came in to collect their A Level and BTEC results. We were delighted that their hard work and commitment have really paid off and are immensely proud of the hugely commendable outcomes they have achieved. 29% of grades were A* or A and the percentage of A* – C grades (76%) was very pleasing too. Of particular note this year were the fantastic BTEC results where 75% of grades were either Distinction* or Distinction (A*/A) and no pupil earned less than a Merit.
These tremendous achievements say a great deal, not only about the pupils’ dedication, but also about the wonderful, personalised support afforded to them by their teachers. As a consequence, our students are thrilled to be heading off in the Autumn to an impressive number of different Russell Group universities to study a remarkable range of subjects, whilst others are excited to be embarking on apprenticeships. We wish them all the very best for their future endeavours and are sure that the solid foundations given to them at Farringtons will serve them extremely well.
