Yesterday proved to be an overwhelming success as ten exceptional alumni returned to Farringtons to participate in an inspiring afternoon of networking and guidance for the current Year 13 students and their parents.

  • Blessing Nwodo – Self employed

  • Daniel Akpan – MX Underwriting

  • Elliott Harding – Simply Business

NETWORKING & SPOTLIGHT INTERVIEW

Students had time to network with the returning alumni over delicious refreshments served by our Catering Team who put on an amazing spread of food under the theme of ‘Farringtons favourites’. Students seized the opportunity to ask questions, gaining practical advice and industry knowledge before embarking on their post-school journeys.

Attendees particularly enjoyed the insightful interview conducted by Mr Jackson, which featured Daniel Akpan from MX Underwriting. This session provided students and parents with deeper, first-hand accounts of working life in underwriting.

Expanding the Reach

In an afternoon addition, the school was delighted to welcome Year 12 students into the Chapel. As part of their lessons, the Year 12 students listened to the speakers, further expanding the reach and impact of the alumni’s valuable insights across the student body.

The school extended a massive thank you to the incredible alumni for volunteering their time and generously sharing their professional experiences. Events like this are highlighted as crucial in truly inspiring the next generation and fostering a strong link between the school community and professional life.
