From Feasts to Fun: Celebrating Chinese New Year

This week has been exciting for our school as we celebrated Chinese New Year. On Tuesday, the whole school enjoyed a delicious Chinese lunch prepared by our fantastic Catering Team—huge thanks to them! There was also a presentation in the Chapel, where Jason (Year 12) and I, Helen (Year 13), shared insights into the traditions and origins of Chinese New Year.

The Prep School also joined in the festivities! Throughout the day, each year group from Pre-Reception to Year 6 participated in the Chinese New Year celebration workshops. Pre-Reception to Year 4 learnt about the traditions of Chinese New Year and greetings in Mandarin, while Year 5 and 6 explored Chinese traditional arts such as calligraphy, paper cutting, and other cultural activities.

A special thank you to Mrs Cheng for organising and leading these wonderful sessions!
