Farringtons School extends the Challenge Passport
Farringtons School is thrilled to announce the Challenge Passport has been extended to Years 8 – 9. The Challenge Passport is a programme designed to encourage pupils to step outside their comfort zones, develop new skills, and broaden their horizons. This exciting initiative offers a wide range of activities for pupils to choose from, each tailored to help them grow and learn.
By completing 15 or more challenges, pupils will qualify for a VIP day out at the end of the school year.
A Variety of Challenges for All
The challenge passport offers a diverse selection of activities for Years 7 – 9, including:
- Performing Arts challenge: Participate in a play, musical, or concert, either on stage or backstage
- Volunteering challenge: Give back to the community by volunteering for two hours or more
- Reading challenge: Expand your horizons by reading five new books from the School Library
- Cultural video challenge: Capture a moment of cultural or historical significance on video
SCHOLAR CHALLENGES
For those seeking a more significant challenge, the Scholar Challenges offer a higher level of difficulty. Scholars are expected to complete 15 challenges, with at least 10 being Scholar Challenges, to qualify for the end-of-year reward. Some examples of Scholar Challenges include:
- Sustainability challenge: Develop and implement five sustainable practices for your family
- Sports leadership challenge: Lead a lunchtime activity for four consecutive weeks
- Podcast challenge: Create a 10-minute podcast
- Family tree challenge: Trace your family history back at least five generations
