Drama
Involvement in a considerable range of dramatic activity is open to all students in the Senior School, irrespective of age or experience. Students may participate in regular drama productions either as actors, members of the lighting or production teams, props crew, sound, make-up, publicity or front-of-house management.
Recent school plays have included 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' and 'Candide'.

GCSE Drama, AS and A2 Theatre Studies
The course mixes practical and academic work. We study playtexts and visit the theatre to review productions. There is a strong emphasis on practical work. Acting forms a major part of the course vand pupils develop skills in improvisation and in perfroming scripts. The girls also experiment with make up, set design, lighting, props and costume. The chance exists to chart the development of a piece of theatre from an idea to a finished drama.

The AS and A2 courses are concerned with the theory and practice of the theatre. Opportunities are presented to create work for a targeted audience and to devise an original piece of theatre.
