Staff and students raise money for Water Aid
Congratulations to all the staff and students who ran 2km a day for 20 days during September and October to raise money for Water Aid.
In the beginning there were the hard core few who turned out to join the venture. A couple of Year 7s including Albert Kuba and Emmanuel Blyden. A whole host of staff and a great set of determined Sixth Formers. These people became the stimulus and inspiration for everyone else who has later joined this epic adventure, including Mrs Nancekievill. An adventure that gives us all a minute taste of what people in developing countries have to do every single day of their lives to collect what can be their daily “dirty” water source.
Mr Essex masterminded the event and ran the final 4km dressed as a toilet with lots of children from Year 7 to 13 taking part and dressing up.
