A Level & GCSE Results

Year 11

Year 11 students returned to Farringtons School for the first time since lockdown to collect and celebrate their excellent GCSE & BTEC results this morning.

Mrs Nancekievill (Head) commented "We are extremely proud of this group of students and their exam results. Our pupils have had to deal with unprecedented adversity and uncertainty over recent months and they have been brilliant in the way they have dealt with such difficult circumstances. Their excellent results are a fine reflection of the outstanding young adults that we have at the School. I wish them all continued success in their future endeavours and look forward to welcoming the students returning to our Sixth Form in September.

Year 13

This year's Upper Sixth are a highly able group of young people with many tremendous abilities, it was therefore fantastic to see the majority of them in school today and to distribute results that reflect a continued and significant, upward trend  in the school’s academic performance, including a well over 10%  improvement at A*A, at a time when the media is suggesting otherwise. 

They and their teachers', hard work and sensitive pastoral care has certainly paid off, as impressive university places and apprenticeships were confirmed. Russell Group University places including for example; Durham, King's College London, Southampton, Sheffield and Edinburgh featured, alongside other prestigious institutions including Bath, Sussex and Surrey Universities and a PwC graduate scheme, were all extremely well deserved.

It has been a privilege and pleasure to have witnessed the way students and staff have handled such a demanding final academic term for Year 13 and I am exceedingly proud of what they have all achieved. I know that our students are well prepared for life after school in every way and wish them every success as they leave Farringtons to embark on the next exciting stage of their education.
