Year 10 & 11 Curriculum

Most students at Farringtons will take 10 GCSE subjects at the end of Year 11.  We currently offer the following subjects at GCSE:

  Food and Nutrition
  French
  Geography
  German
  History
  ICT
  Maths
  Music
  Physical Education
  Religious Studies (short course)
  Science
  Spanish
  Statistics
  Textiles

All girls study English, English Literature, Mathematics, Science ("Dual Award" - a course covering all 3 sciences but giving 2 grades at GCSE) and Religious Studies, then option subjects are added to give the total of 10.  In addition, girls have PE and games periods eachweek.
