Ceramics is taught by Mrs Matthews.

In September 2005 Ceramics moved into a new, well equiped studio in the Technology Block - Stratford House. The studio has two electric pottery wheels, a kick wheel, a large kiln and a wide range of clays and glazes.

Ceramics lessons at Farringtons encourage girls to explore the unique quailities of clay. Students are taught traditional craft skills and develop a working knowledge of tools and materials. With this knowledge girls are encouraged to be creative and express their ideas through design based projects. Girls  will develop an understanding of the place of ceramics in society and its importance in an historical and cultural context.
