WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM

Does it matter what the issue is?
No, it can be a big problem or a small one.  by discussing it, you may come up with some positive ideas.

How do I know who to talk to?
You can talk to your House Mistress, your Form Tutor, the Headmistress, the Deputy Head, Chaplain or any member of staff.  They will always listen and try to understand.  Even if you find the issue hurtful or embarrassing, don't worry - it will only be discussed by staff who can help you.  You can seek help by yourself or as part of a group, or through your parents.

What will happen next?
If possible, the staff member will try and resolve your problem in person.  If not, he or she will go on your behalf to someone who can help.  If you still feel unhappy or need further advice and support, you can always contact the School's Independent Listener (details available in the Boarding Houses) or CSCI (Commission for Social Care Inspection) - via their website www.csci.org.uk or by telephoning 0845 015 0120 (national) or the Sidcup Office, river House, 1 Maidstone Road, Sidcup, DA14 5RH, telephone 020 8308 3520.

REMEMBER PROBLEMS ARE RARE AND A PROBLEM SHARED IS A PROBLEM SOLVED!
