CHARITY RECITAL BY TRINITY COLLEGE STUDENT

Students, staff and parents were treated to a musical delight , when former student Elona Laurie gave a Charity Recital accompanied by Raymond Lewis.

Elona is currently in her second year at Trinity College of Music, London, where she leads the College Orchestra. Elona was a former student at Farringtons School from 1997 – 2003 and studied violin with Alison Cordingley. Elona is also an accomplished flautist and has learnt piano and theory.

The programme included ‘Sonata in D minor’ by Brahms, Tchaikovsky’s ‘Melody’ and Shubert’s ‘Sonata in A Minor’.

Along with accompanist, Raymond Lewis, Elona has given a number of recitals locally and has also performed the ‘Violin Concerto in E minor’ by Mendelssohn in 2003 at All Saints Church, Orpington.

Many thanks to Elona for giving up her time to raise money for the School's chosen charity this term, ‘Pump Aid’.
