Excellent Early Years Ofsted Inspection
16/6/2008

Congratulations to our Early Years Team for their recent Ofsted Inspection.

There are four outcomes of an Ofsted Inspection - Inadequate, Satisfactory, Good and Outstanding.

The overall outcome for the inspection at Farringtons was GOOD, meaning that the quality and standard of the Nursery education is strong, and that there are no areas for concern. The Inspector thoroughly enjoyed her day at Farringtons and we were particularly delighted that the report highlighted the following:

‘Children are happy, confident and enjoy their time.’

‘Children are eagerly engaged in activities which are clearly linked to the early learning goals, by making them fun and challenging.’

‘Children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is fostered well.’

‘Children enthusiastically use the outside play area and equipment to extend their physical development on a daily basis and take part in planned physical education lessons.’

‘The children’s behaviour is very good because staff constantly praise and encourage their achievements.’

‘Well equipped role play areas encourage and extend children’s imaginations and also allow them to act out real life situations’
