Dancing to Help
‘Children with Leukaemia’
Junior pupils have been dancing their feet off to raise money for ‘Children with Leukaemia’.
All of our Junior pupils performed in an extravaganza of dance called ‘Access Your Eyes’, in which they performed dance routines with various accessories including umbrellas, gloves, scarves, Wellington boots, gloves, handbags and belts. Some of the routines were very creative, ‘Scarftacular’, ‘Sock It to You’, ‘Bagalicious’ and ‘Hatastic’, to name but a few.
The money raised will be divided equally; half will go directly to the charity and the other half given to Mrs Long, who organised the dance show, and Miss Tetley, in order for them to run as members of the ‘Children with Leukaemia’ charity team in the London Marathon.
Mrs James commented, ‘It is fantastic that everyone has worked together as a team and produced such an exciting, innovative dance show. I am very proud of each and every one of them for their contribution’.
Update: With all of the fund raising activities that have taken place during the Spring Term, Farringtons Junior School has raised over £6000.00.
