Business Plan a Winner!
The Mail on Sunday organised a National Competition called ‘Breaking the Mould!’. The entry required a business idea for girls aged eleven to eighteen years old. The essay consisted of five hundred words. There were two categories: a proposed business idea or an invention.
Year 11 EAL students discussed their entries and there were several excellent ideas. Encouraged by Mrs Schofield, I entered my business proposal.
My entry was a business about a franchising outlet called ‘Thai Chick ‘N’’, that would help young Thai females from being exploited and provide education and a better future for them.
I was awarded the second prize of £1,000 and I was invited to the House of Lords for a Champagne Reception.
Fay Cole, Year 11
Congratulations to Fay Cole on her success in this prestigious competition.
