We always love to hear about life in other countries and, on Thursday 24 January, the Pre-Reception children enjoyed an illustrated talk about “Russia in Winter” from Elena’s daddy, Mr Leonov.

We saw Elena, her brother and sister sliding down a huge ice run. They were well wrapped up against the severe cold. There were enormous snow figures and snow buildings. The photographs of the countryside with the trees laden with snow and where Elena’s family go skiing were spectacular. The Pre-Reception children and staff
really appreciated the opportunity to share with Elena and her family some aspects of life in Russia and we are very grateful to Mr Leonov for taking the time to come in and see us.
