Under The Sea

The new Reception classes have started their school life by studying life 'Under the Sea'. On Thursday 27th September both classes took part in a 'home grown' musical drama morning. The children travelled below the ocean in their home-made yellow submarine and donned their special fish hats made in an art lesson. This enabled them to breathe and swim beneath the water!

Their adventure began in the Octopus’s garden where photos were taken and they found a clue directing them to the clam beds! Here they heard the story of the Rainbow Fish and puzzled over a clue which took them to the ‘Mermaid's Disco’. After 'Flapping the Fish', trying magnetic fishing and playing undersea musical statues, they headed for Shamu, the wisest creature under the sea. After performing a special dance for the killer whale, they were each rewarded with a bag of treasure. A good time was had by all!
