French Experience Trip

On Friday 5th October, Year 5 went to France. We got on the coach at 6am, it was a very dark start to the day. When the coach was leaving I think our Mums were more upset that we were!

After the ferry crossing, we had lunch then went to Nausicaa, we saw penguins, sharks, lots of fish and a 3D movie.
When we arrived at the chateau, we all settled into our rooms and had a lovely tea, played lots of fun games and then went to bed.
The next day, we went to a market and bought lots of pretty things. We got back to the chateau and made mayonnaise. To check that it was good, we had to run the bowl upside down and if it fell out, it was bad! Then we had lunch with the winning team’s mayonnaise!
In the afternoon, we went to a supermarket to practise our French and then went to a lovely beach and found hermit crabs and lots of shells.
The next day we went to visit a sweet factory where we watched a man make sweets and then we had the chance to buy some.

We had lunch on the beach and then went to an aqua park to swim. I was nervous about the slides at first, but eventually I had great fun.
In the evening, we had a party at the chateau and Mrs Long joined in the fun and danced more than anyone else!.
On our last day, we went to the Chocolate Factory and bought lots of yummy chocolate. Then we went to a Goat Farm and didn’t buy any smelly cheese!
After lunch we made our journey home, we were all very tired, but we had a wonderful trip.
