100% PASS A LEVELS
16/8/2007

Students and staff at Farringtons were absolutely delighted today as they achieved a 100% pass rate at A Level.

Students will now be able to take up their chosen places at universities across the country and overseas, ranging from Mathematics at Imperial College London to Interior Design at the American Institute.

As a non-selective, wide-ability school, Farringtons celebrates those students who are not only academically talented, but who achieved excellent personal results.

Siân Turner who gained straight A grades at GCSE has achieved the same success at A Level in her four chosen subjects; Biology, English Literature, French and Geography. She will now go on to York University to study English.

As well as being a day school, Farringtons is also a Boarding School, which means that a number of our students are from overseas, choosing to be educated in our excellent UK Independent Education System, often giving them better opportunities than studying in their own countries.

A shining example is Nicole Wang from China who joined Farringtons for her Sixth Form studies and achieved all A Grades in her four subjects, with English being her second language.

Juliana Wekel came to Farringtons in January 2006, initially for one term to improve her English, but enjoyed the experience so much that she elected to stay and complete A Levels with us. She deservedly gained three A grades and one B grade and will now go on to study at the University of Berlin.

Headmistress, Mrs James, is particularly pleased by the overall value-added achievement of Farringtons students and commented ‘Many of the girls have achieved higher results than was expected, proving that with the right support, hard work and dedication, students reach and often exceed their own, and our, expectations.’
