Ice Skating and Bowling
On Saturday 30th January, the boarders went ice skating and bowling. Queensway was full of people and lots of noises. Most of us were really good at bowling and I was the only one who could not play it properly. After we had finished playing bowling we skipped to do ice skating. Some of us stuck to the wall and moved step by step, but others seemed like little ducklings.Everyone was shouting and laughing. Some of us fell down and got a little bit wet. I think we all had really nice time in those sports. It was good exercise for us.

On Saturday, the boarders went to Queensway in London to ice skate and bowl. When we arrived, we went to bowl first; some people were not confident at the beginning, but at the end they were quite good at it. Everyone had a free soft drink from the bar afterwards. Then, we went ice-skating, it was so much fun. Two teachers also came with us to Queensway and had fun with us. Some of us had never skated before, but we all worked together in a team and showed each other how to skate. Everyone really enjoyed it. Thank you to Mrs Dolan for teaching us how to bowl and Mlle. Mosqueron for showing us how to skate!

Happy New Year!
On the 14th of February, China and Korea will be celebrating New Year. In China, families will all eat a big meal together, and we make delicious dumplings for the meal. We then go to watch fireworks. Children are given money in little red envelopes from their family. This year we are celebrating the year of the Tiger, which is a symbol of bravery. In Korea, children put on new traditional clothes called ‘hanbok’. They kneel and bow to their ancestors and elders. Family members wish each other prosperity and good fortune. Then they exchange gifts. This Sunday will be a very special day for us, it is a time for families, and we wish you a very Happy New Year!

Camden Market
On Saturday 6th February, all the boarders went to Camden Lock Market in London. It’s a really big market and we think probably everything is there. There were a lot of people so we needed to hold each other’s hands to not get lost. There were lots of accessories and clothes which are hard to find in a normal market or shop. We found really beautiful and unique accessories and foods that looked so delicious. Also, we recognised that Camden Lock Market is quite an international market because there were all different country people in that market. Even, there were Korean people who sold the clothes and accessories!! It was great fun - thank you.
