SWIMMING LESSONS - SUMMER TERM 2008

 

 

 

Children have swimming lessons once each week for the duration of the summer term.

 

 

 

·        A one-piece swimming costume  / swim trunks

·        Swim hat (in house colour)

·        Towel

·        Pair of flip-flops or other plastic shoes suitable for the poolside

·        Goggles / ear plugs / arm bands (if required)

·        Suitable bag to contain all the items listed above

 

 

All items should be NAMED. Swimwear should also, of course, be laundered weekly. House colour swimming hats are available from Jolly Good Sports at 89 Queensway, Petts Wood. (the shop is immediately opposite Oz, our school uniform shop) These tend to be more durable than the latex ones and, being made of silicon, do not snag the hair. They are available for £3.60 (incorporating the 10% discount offered to Farringtons families). In the event of the pool being out of action, please ensure that your child has P.E. kit in school every week day this term.

 

 

These children will be undertaking an intensive series of swimming lessons starting on Monday 2 June and concluding on Friday 13 June 2008.  It would be helpful if you could ensure that your child has swimming kit in school each swimming day.  Lesson days and times will be posted in each form.  If the weather is unsuitable the children will have P.E. lessons as usual.
