SATURDAY
Don’t forget the “Big Draw” competition tomorrow.  It takes place on Chislehurst Common from 12noon to 4.00pm.  All Junior children are encouraged to go along with their parents and take part in what promises to be a fun day with lots of creative activities and prizes to be won.

FOAL FARM SAYS THANK YOU
Mrs Long has received a lovely letter from Jackie Sands, the Deputy Manager and her animals at Foal Farm Animal Sanctuary saying thank you for the donation of £130.66 that they received recently.  The money was raised at the end of the Summer Term by the girls in Year 6, who gave up their break times to run some stalls selling smoothies, frappés, cakes, sweets and pocket money toys.  In addition they had a very successful lucky dip and raffle.

WELCOME BACK
To Year 6, who have enjoyed a fantastic week on the Isle of Wight.  They have lots to tell us all and we look forward to their special Friday Assembly on 12th October.

REMINDERS:
·      Please ensure that your child brings a coat to school (preferably with hood) so they can remain warm and dry when moving between the school buildings.
·      Parents wishing to visit the Junior School office should walk around the right hand side of South House (following the signs) and ring the bell at the door for attention.  School equipment purchases (water bottles, book bags, rucksacks etc) can be made from the admin. desk currently situated by the entry door to the Infant block.

NEXT WEEK

MONDAY
The Parents’ Association Nearly New Shop will be open from 8.00 to 9.00am in the morning and again at the end of the day from 3.00 – 5.00pm.

In addition to the Dri Ski Slope lesson at 4.00pm on Monday evening, there is a Ski Presentation Evening at 7.00pm in the Junior Hall for all those going on the trip this coming December.

THURSDAY
The whole school will be on show for a “working open morning”.  Parents are asked to invite interested friends and neighbours to come and see what we have to offer from Pre-Reception through to “A” levels.

FRIDAY
A very early start (leaving at 6.00am) for the girls in Years 5 & 6 going to France.  We look forward to their safe return after a fun-packed weekend at approximately 5.00pm on Monday evening, 8th October.

The Parents’ Association is holding its monthly coffee morning in the School Dining Room from 8.30 – 10.00am.  They are raising money for the latest Breast Cancer Campaign “Wear it Pink”.  There will be a jewellery stall and a raffle.  £2.00 on the door if you are wearing pink, otherwise it will be £3.00 to enter!
