YOUNG ILLUSTRATORS COMPETITION
Children in Years 3 – 6 (inclusive) have been given a leaflet regarding an art competition with a £150 top prize. There is an entry fee of £5 per drawing and the deadline is Wednesday 31 October (during the half term holiday). Any creative style is acceptable and the materials used can be ink, pencils, crayons, paints, acrylic, watercolour, chalk, gummed paper, glitter, tissue paper.  The artwork should be created on one of the following paper sizes: A5, A4 or A3.  Children can enter as many times as they like as long as the correct fee is included for each sketch.  Don’t forget to send full contact details on a separate sheet.  Good luck!

CHRISTMAS CARDS
All Junior School children will be given the chance to create a “My School Christmas Card”.  Some children will be painting and drawing in school, others may bring their blank card home to complete.  The finished artwork will be sent off shortly after the half term holiday and fully finished printed samples, accompanied by order forms will follow.

YEAR 3 P.E. KIT
Parents of children in Year 3 are reminded that pupils need shin pads and long green sports socks for football lessons after the half term holiday.

SKI HELMETS
Junior school children going on the December ski trip MUST have a ski helmet before they will be allowed on the slopes.  A letter from Mrs Long should accompany this mailing for the relevant pupils.  If your daughter already possesses a helmet, please indicate this on the form.  Alternatively, Mrs Long will measure all the relevant heads and arrange for the correct sizes to be waiting for pupils at the resort.  The cost of hire is £10 per helmet for the duration of the holiday.
