KEY STAGE ONE
Key Stage One marks the beginning of the children’s educational journey at Farringtons School – from their first day within our Foundation Stage through to their final days in Year Two.
Specialist teaching takes place in all year groups for both physical education and music. Extra curricular activities for children within Key Stage 1 currently include: gymnastics, jazz dance, tap, ballet and tennis.

Throughout their time with us, children experience a broad, balanced curriculum differentiated to their individual needs. Our focus is child-centred at all times, with children being supported and extended through their learning – so enabling them to reach their full potential in a safe and caring environment. Our expectations are always high but personally achievable. Learning through exploration and investigation is encouraged, allowing the children the opportunity to discover through experience and so have a fuller understanding of the world around them.
Our aim is to foster an atmosphere where risks can be taken and mistakes made and learned from, an atmosphere that promotes the joys of learning and one that celebrates all achievements.
