PAYMENT OF FEES
Parents should note that fees are payable in advance, on or before the first day of each term.   Pupils entering after half term will be charged half fees for that term.  No other reductions can be made, however, for late starters.  The Governors reserve the right to charge interest on late payments and to ask for pupils to be withdrawn if a settlement has not been made by half term.  Parents wishing to pay by monthly instalments can obtain details from the Bursar.

NOTICE
A full term's notice in writing is required prior to withdrawal of pupils.  Failing this, a term's fees in lieu of notice will be charged and the deposit may be withheld.  In the case of optional subjects, a full half term's notice to discontinue a subject in the following term is acceptable.  Pupils may not drop a subject halfway through a term.

FEE REDUCTIONS
While two (or more) siblings are at the school, a reduction of 10% is made in the fees of the younger sibling(s).  Children in Pre-Reception and Reception Classes are, however, eligible for the Early Years Grant.

Special fee reductions apply to British Forces personnel.

When pupils transfer from the Junior School to the Senior School, a loyalty reduction of 1% is made for every year spent in the Juniors.  This is deducted from the first year's fees up to a maximum of 5%.

DEPOSIT
A deposit of £500 is payable for Junior and Senior entry for day pupils joining Farringtons.  There is no extra deposit required when transferring from the Junior School to the Senior School.

For Boarders and Weekly Boarders, the deposit is £2000.  Deposits are payable when parents accept an offer of a place in School.  These sums are forfeited if the child fails to take up the place for whatever reason.  If he or she does enter the School, the deposit is retained until after the final term of schooling when it is refunded to the parents, subject to the settlement of any outstanding charges.

EXTRAS
All Senior School pupils are issued upon arrival with an atlas, hymnbook and dictionary for which extra charges are made.

For public examination pupils, some charges for personal/individual text books are also made.

OPTIONAL EXTRAS
Music lessons, speech and drama, ballet, jazz dance, fencing, short tennis, gym, a wide variety of other sporting activities and extra subject tuition are charged at cost and will be added to the end of term account.

Pupils can have tea, play and do their homework under supervision until parents pick them up.  (Parents who are normally on hand to pick up their children between 3.35 and 4.00pm, but who may be unavoidably delayed, can rest assured that they will be cared for in the ‘FIZ Club' until their arrival).
